Their expansive work moves fluidly between music composition and painting, each informing the other in a partnered dance. The two practices share a world of hypnagogic imagery and romantic movement through an existential landscape. Carbon began performing in 2015 as Pamela_ and her sons and their genre-defying sound was nurtured in Atlanta’s experimental dance and noise scenes.
Pamela_ renders immersive, emotional, and dynamic compositions that are hypnotic and transporting, flowing from ambience to serpentine dance movements. They are host of Renewal+, a radio show and mix series that pairs artists in a connective matchmaking.
